Welcome to Annota.work. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) form a contract between you and Annota.work (“Annota”, “we”, “us”). By accessing or using our website, products, or services (the “Services”), you agree to these Terms.
1) Who We Are
Annota.work is a platform that helps companies post data-annotation roles and helps annotators find and manage opportunities.
2) Eligibility & Accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract.
- You’re responsible for the accuracy of information you provide and for safeguarding your account credentials.
- If you believe your account has been compromised, notify us promptly.
3) Permitted Use
You may use the Services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:
- Scrape, harvest, or reverse engineer the Services beyond what is permitted by applicable law.
- Upload unlawful, misleading, infringing, or harmful content.
- Interfere with the security, integrity, or performance of the Services.
4) Job Listings, Applications & ATS
- Employers are solely responsible for the content and accuracy of their listings and for compliance with hiring laws.
- Annota does not guarantee interviews, offers, or employment outcomes.
- We may remove or decline to publish content that violates these Terms or applicable law.
5) Subscriptions, Credits & Payments
- Paid features (e.g., subscriptions, credits) are processed by Stripe. We don’t store full card numbers.
- Billing cycles, pricing, and plan features are shown at checkout or in your account.
- You may cancel at any time; cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period.
- Unless stated otherwise, fees are non-refundable except where required by applicable law.

If you provide ideas or suggestions, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, irrevocable, royalty-free license to use them without restriction.
You retain ownership of content you submit (e.g., listings, company info, profile). By submitting content, you grant Annota a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, and display it as necessary to operate and improve the Services.
7) Intellectual Property
The Services, including our brand, UI, and software, are protected by intellectual-property laws. Except for the rights expressly granted, we reserve all rights.
9) Third-Party Services
We rely on providers such as Stripe (payments), hosting, and database services. Your use of any third-party service may be subject to that provider’s terms.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we’ll provide reasonable notice. The updated Terms are effective when posted unless stated otherwise.
We may change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time with reasonable notice where practical.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Annota and its affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for lost profits, revenues, or data. Our aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Services will not exceed the amounts you paid to us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to liability.
The Services are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Annota from claims arising out of your content, your use of the Services, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

These Terms will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws that apply to you based on your place of residence or business, unless otherwise required by applicable law. Where no specific jurisdiction is mandated, these Terms will be interpreted under generally accepted principles of contract law.
